Tarık Çakar was born in Istanbul in 1966. He graduated from ITU Management Engineering Department in 1988, completed his Master's degree in 1991 and PhD in 1997 in ITU Institute of Science, Department of Management Engineering. Between 1989 and 1998, he worked as a research assistant at the Department of Industrial Engineering at Sakarya University, and between 1998 and 2010, as an Assistant Professor at the same university. Between 2010-2017, Associate Professor Dr. He served as. During 2003-2004, he worked as a researcher in various projects at Wichita State University Industrial Engineering Department. Between 2012 and 2016, he gave lectures on Industrial Engineering at International Balkan University. He served as Dean at the same university for 1 year in 2015-2016.
