Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jelena Ristic is full time professor and Head of department at the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at IBU. She is continuously active in scientific and academic research for the last 14 years, being participant or coordinator of 7 long term international research projects (including up to 5 participant countries) in the field of innovations and advances in earthquake engineering, funded by NATO Science for Peace Program, Innovation fund of Serbia, World Bank, Fund of Innovations and technical development of North Macedonia, inter-university collaborations etc. Since 2007, Prof. Jelena Ristic has more than 75 published scientific papers, of which 9 in high ranking indexed scientific journals with impact factor, journals with international editorials as well as proceedings of fully international world renowned scientific and professional conferences and symposiums. At IBU, Prof. Jelena Ristic has been teaching various courses to civil engineering, architecture and industrial engineering students enrolled in first and second cycle of studies from the fields structural mechanics, theory of structures, infrastructure structures, dynamics of structures, steel structures, construction materials, concrete structures and repair and strengthening of structures. At the Department of Civil Engineering, she has been mentor to more than 50 diploma projects and 6 master theses and has been actively working on Elaborates for accreditation of study programs of first and second cycle of studies.
Professor Jelena Ristic got her bachelor degree at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the state university Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje in 2009 in the field of structural engineering. In 2011, she got her master degree at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at UKIM, Skopje in 2011, in the field of structural earthquake engineering. In 2016, Prof. Jelena Ristic got her doctoral degree at the Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology at the university Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, in the field of earthquake engineering with focus of innovative technologies for protection of bridges and structures.
