Hiqmet Kamberaj is a Professor at International Balkan University, Skopje, North Macedonia. 

He was Dean of the Faculty of Engineering from January 2017 to September 2019. Hiqmet completed his PhD (in Computational Physics) in 2005 from Manchester Metropolitan University and Post-Doctoral studies at the University of Minnesota, Arizona State University, and the National Institute of Nanotechnology (University of Edmonton). He received his Bachelor of Science (in Physics) in 1996 from the University of Tirana and his Master of Science (in Physics) from the University of Siegen in 2000. Hiqmet has published more than 100 articles and book chapters in reputed journals and served as editor-in-chief, editorial board member, and ad-hoc reviewer of repute. Hiqmet Kamberaj has authored seven books published by internationally recognized publishing houses, such as Springer Nature, De Gruyter, and Lambert Academic Publishing. His research focuses on understanding macromolecular systems' structure, dynamics, and thermodynamics using the laws of physics, biochemistry, applied mathematics, and machine learning approaches. Hiqmet has participated in more than 40 international conferences presenting his work.
